I’m reaching out one last time before January comes to a close to let you know that we’re still just short of our first monthly fundraising target for the election year.

I know my team and I have been in touch quite a bit lately, but I wouldn’t be doing right by my team or our supporters if I didn’t send one last email to try and hit our goal. I’m laser-focused on my work doing right by this community – listening, learning, and delivering for IL-17; being the representative that my constituents deserve and can trust.

It's so frustrating I can't say the same thing about everyone in the halls of Congress.

It makes me enraged to think some of these bad actors think they can get away with continuing to play fast and loose with our Constitutional rights and hold critical services hostage, and I will do everything in my power to hold them accountable and ensure everyone’s safety and freedoms are protected.

But I know there are bad people benefitting from this, and they will be pouring a lot more money into this race after our opponent is official. In the past, we've kept this seat blue together by a razor-thin margin. This year’s race is likely going to require that solidarity again.

You’ve been there when we needed you most. Right now, we’ll need all hands on deck as we weather another tough election. In a district this close, every grassroots contribution will make a difference.
