One of the first things I learned as a Marine is “Semper Fi,” always being faithful to service, to defending your country, and to its people.

For me, running for Congress is an extension of this lesson. It’s what my parents taught me while growing up in Southeast Texas — you give back to the communities that raised you, and to your country. That’s why I’m running for Congress.

This campaign is for and by the people of TX-35. It’s my way of ensuring that my daughter Rozlyn and future generations have the same opportunities I had. Right now, Republicans in charge are voting in ways that only hurt our state and its future.
