We've got to do everything we can to elect Joe Biden and lift up Democrats across the country, because now more than ever, our nation is in desperate need of courageous, competent leadership.

A president has a moral duty to protect the nation -- and from the fight to dismantle systemic racism to the response to COVID-19, and the urgent need to build back our economy better than before, Donald Trump has failed on all fronts.

But here is the good news: the American people will have a chance to choose between Donald Trump, and Joe Biden.

Joe Biden gets it. He understands what working families are going through right now. Joe Biden knows that our system has been rigged to favor the rich and powerful and kick dirt in face of everyone else -- an injustice that falls especially hard on Black and Brown communities.

And for months now Joe has put forth a better course of action and a clear vision of what he would do as president. The contrast between Joe Biden and Donald Trump couldn't be more clear. We have a chance to choose compassion over cruelty, empathy over ego, facts over fear, hope over hate.

This election will determine the kind of world we live in together, but it will also determine the world we leave for future generations. This is our moment in history. Our moment to restore the soul of our nation. Our moment to build back our economy and our democracy better than ever before.

So we must persist. We must come together. And I hope you'll be able to join me and Joe Biden at Friday's virtual grassroots fundraiser.
