We’ve been through a lot this month. So much that it is hard to keep up. We’re seeing daily assaults on our constitutional rights. And for so many, every day has felt heavier than the last.
But even with all the terrible things that happened this month, I had the opportunity to see what the work we do together can achieve. I got to attend the inauguration of my friend and former Class of 2018 classmate in Congress—Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger. The ceremonies for the 75th—and first woman—governor of Virginia were inspiring and invigorating, a reminder of all we can accomplish when we work together to elect good people. I thank the people of Virginia for making it happen, and all the people on this team who contributed their time and money to that effort!
We must continue to use every tool at our disposal to fight back against these daily attacks and for people who will lead us in the work in the years ahead. For everyone here on #TeamLizzie, that means staying engaged and doing our part to win—in TX-07 and across Texas and the country—so we can retake the House majority and do more to fight back against the Trump administration.
