Hi friend, it’s Haley Stevens. When President Obama created the Auto Rescue Task Force during the 2008 financial crisis, I got the call to serve. I was working long nights as chief of staff – and yes, sometimes even returning calls from President Obama himself.
That was a critical moment for Michigan. We were on the brink of losing the heart of our economy and were fighting to save the American auto industry and protect hundreds of thousands of Michigan jobs.
