We had a lot of great moments over the past week, and I want to share a couple of them with you:

• Our Week of Action was an amazing success!  So many volunteers showed up and committed their time and energy to re-electing Lizzie this November.  We had great panels, discussions, and training sessions to prepare for Election Day, made calls and texts, and handed out yard signs.  I couldn’t be more confident in our ability to defend TX-07 this November and I’m so proud of everyone who was able to join!

• The Houston Chronicle published a great article about why #TeamLizzie works so hard to send Lizzie back to Congress next year.  I like this statement from Lizzie in particular:

“We are at a pivotal moment in the life of our country.  In 2020, we will choose our path forward, and I know what I want it to be: a path that unifies Americans around our common values and a positive, hopeful vision for our shared future.  That’s why I put my name on the ballot for the first time in 2018, and why I am proud to do so again in 2020.  We are facing some of our greatest challenges — from battling a devastating new virus to healing deep, old wounds.  Who we elect in November — at every level of government — will lead us through this challenging moment.  For me, it is the highest privilege to represent our community in the U.S. Congress at this time, and to lead with our community’s core values of inclusion, innovation, and collaboration in the belief that they will result in progress, equality, and opportunity for all Americans."
