Welcome to our January newsletter!
This month we were hard at work up in DC and in the district to deliver for the people of Alabama. We voted on legislation that directly supports the people of Alabama, uncovered fraud, and worked to restore common sense to Washington.
If you need help from my office with the VA, IRS, or another federal agency, or with a government service like passport processing, please reach out to us. We’ve resolved over 7,400 cases since I took office in 2021. Our values and way of life are under attack, but I promise that I will continue to fight for you, your family, and Alabama’s 1st Congressional District.
Please reach out to my office at barrymoore.house.gov or 202-225-2901 if we can help you or your family in any way and keep reading for the full update.

- $500,000 for Fort Morgan Public Beach Safety Markers, improving safety along Alabama’s Gulf Coast.
- $325,000 to the Houston County Sheriff's Department for policing equipment and technology upgrades, helping local law enforcement modernize equipment and technology.
- $375,000 for the Atmore Police Department radio communication equipment upgrade, enhancing officer safety and emergency communications.
- $750,000 for the City of Loxley Water System improvement project, supporting modern infrastructure.

- $1,550,000 for Cybersecurity Research and Services for U.S. Port Operations, strengthening port security and protecting critical infrastructure.
- $500,000 for Fort Morgan Public Beach Safety Markers, improving safety along Alabama’s Gulf Coast.

Introduced the Freedom to Fuel Act
I introduced the Freedom to Fuel Act alongside Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak (R-ND). This legislation restores common sense to the federal rulemaking process by stopping the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from imposing unnecessary and burdensome regulations on something as basic and essential as a gas can.
From day one, President Trump and Republicans have been committed to cutting red tape, empowering American workers, and restoring common sense. The Freedom to Fuel Act is one more step toward eliminating outdated rules and bringing policy that makes the American people's lives easier back to Washington.
Supported the SAVE Act
The SAVE Act is under consideration in the Senate. This legislation upholds and strengthens current law by ensuring that only U.S. citizens are permitted to vote in federal elections. I support the passage of the SAVE Act, which protects the rights of American citizens to vote by:
- Requiring proof of citizenship before registering an individual to vote in a federal election.
- Requiring states remove non-citizens from their existing voter rolls while providing the resources needed to ensure this happens.

Dear Friend,
Due to the previous administration's policies, our country has been overrun with illegal aliens. President Trump and ICE are working to clean up our county. After one year of the Trump border policies our country has experienced the largest single-year drop in murders on record last year, alongside steep declines in rapes, robberies, aggravated assaults, shooting deaths (the fewest since 2015), on-duty law enforcement officer deaths, traffic fatalities, and overdose deaths.
Since taking office, the Trump Administration has arrested 150,000+ illegal immigrants, deported 139,000+ illegal immigrants, and released just nine illegal immigrants into the U.S. — a staggering 99.99% decrease over the same period last year under the previous administration's policies.
President Trump halted the physical entry to the U.S. of illegal border crossers, suspended refugee resettlement, and dramatically lowered the number of refugees allowed into the country — ensuring the U.S. does not become a safe haven to those who hate us.
I want to hear from you!

January 21st marked President Trump's one year in office.
This term has been marked by delivering for the American people:
- Reducing wholesale egg prices by 89% following the Trump Administration’s intervention, supply stabilization, and regulatory relief.
- Removing more than 2.6 million illegal aliens from the United States.
- Delivering the largest one-year decline in homicides in U.S. history by launching targeted federal crime crackdowns.
- Driving gas prices to their lowest level in nearly five years, with prices below $3 per gallon in 43 states and below $2 per gallon in 19 states.
- Creating 654,000 private-sector jobs following deregulation, tax relief, and restored investment confidence.
- Saving an estimated $215 billion — equivalent to $1,335 per U.S. taxpayer — through the Trump Administration’s government efficiency efforts.
- Implementing the Most Favored Nation drug pricing, securing deals with 16 of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies to guarantee Americans pay the same low prices other developed nations receive.
