• CNN announced that 10 Democratic candidates will participate in a seven-hour series of town halls focused on climate change on Sept. 4. The candidates who qualified to participate based on polling are Joe Biden, Cory Booker, Pete Buttigieg, Julián Castro, Kamala Harris, Amy Klobuchar, Beto O'Rourke, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and Andrew Yang.

• Candidates have until Wednesday to qualify for the September Democratic primary debate.

• Biden met with a group of black journalists Tuesday to provide on- and off-the-record insight to his campaign. He discussed his ideal running mate, the primary debates, black voter support, and the Trump administration.
