There’s no way around it. This is becoming full-blown authoritarianism.
The Trump administration is now arresting journalists if they don't like
what they report on.

Journalists are constitutionally protected by the First Amendment. The
press is a pillar of free speech in this country. Our rights are being
trampled — and it puts all of us at risk.

How did we get here? For one, too many Democrats in power have failed to
meet the moment and their inability to play offense has left us wide open
to Trump’s authoritarianism. They’ve proven that they either aren’t
willing or don’t know how to stop the Trump regime’s creeping fascism.
That is unacceptable. Americans deserve better leadership that firmly
stands on business.

Leaders We Deserve exists to elect a new generation of progressives who
will stand up for our country and our Constitution, and return power to
the people where it belongs. We need to bring a new generation of
Democrats into power who are actually ready to fight back in more ways
than writing a strongly worded letter.
