Friend, it feels like yesterday.

In college, I worked at a bar and grill (called Yesterday's) to support myself, and I remember the experience vividly. I learned so much during those years, including how to hold four burgers and pour beer at the same time -- something I'm happy to say I can still do!

I know what it’s like to live with uncertainty. I remember living paycheck to paycheck, I remember the fear I felt when I got sick, and I remember almost going bankrupt because of healthcare costs.

My experience is the reality for so many Americans because special interests have denied working people a real voice in government. And at a time of deep economic pain for so many, we need representatives who understand why fair pay, financial security, and access to healthcare matter.

That is why I'm running for Congress: to fight for an economic recovery that lifts up those who work hard for a living, and makes healthcare more affordable.

Yesterday, my campaign launched a new ad that tells my story. If we meet our end-of-month fundraising goal, we'll be able to keep the ad on the air well into August.

So will you donate $24 (or whatever you can) today? We're still $7,468 away from our goal.

Thank you,

Dana

P.S. Please share our new ad! Our campaign is about the working families who deserve a fair shot -- and who've been shut out by Washington politicians for far too long. I will carry their voices to Congress.
