For decades, Democrats have played by the rules while Republicans ruthlessly gerrymandered their way to power.
We took the high road. We preached about norms and precedent. We talked about "when they go low, we go high."
And where did that get us?

Democrats across the country are done being punching bags! California unleashed Proposition 50. New York, Virginia, and Maryland are redrawing their maps.
The "nuclear option" has been deployed and there's no going back.
But here's the brutal reality: Democrats cannot unilaterally surrender while Republicans are rigging the game in Texas, North Carolina, Missouri, Florida, and Indiana.
If we don’t use every single card in the book while MAGA ramps up their attacks, we guarantee that Democrats will never retake the House. Not in 2026. Not in 2028. Not for a generation.
Trump would have unchecked power to invade countries, dismantle the Federal Reserve, prosecute his enemies, and turn America into an authoritarian nightmare—and there wouldn't be a damn thing we could do to stop him.
That's not an option.
Coloradans are committed to fighting back tooth and nail, because the time for rolling over in the Trump-era is DONE.
This is why Colorado Draws the Line is spearheading the ballot initiative that will erase 3 to 4 GOP seats off the Colorado map and stop Trump's election rigging scheme dead in its tracks. We're not apologizing for it. We're not ashamed of it. And we're sure as hell not backing down.
