We won’t sugarcoat it, 2026 is off to a horrible start.
The month started off with Trump invading Venezuela and kidnapping their president. And then, he proceeded to threaten war in Greenland, Cuba, Columbia, and Iran. Renée Good was murdered by ICE in Minnesota, and then just weeks later, Alex Pretti was murdered.
And just this morning, journalists Don Lemon and Georgia Fort were arrested for reporting the news.
We still have 3 years left of Trump’s second presidency...
But there is something to be hopeful about: This year Democrats are poised for a massive blue wave.
Polling and recent special elections have shown Democrats on course to flip even the reddest of districts in November as Trump and MAGA’s approval rating plummets.
And it has MAGA extremists in Congress like Lauren Boebert desperately clinging onto their seats.
Boebert is a prime target for Democrats in ‘26. She is more vulnerable than ever. She is only in Congress because of 546 voters. Last time Democrat Trisha Calvarese ran against her, she had the best performance a Democrat has ever had in the district and outperformed Kamala Harris by 6 points in a red wave election.
The cherry on top: Trisha just raised over 1 million dollars last quarter, 10x more than Boebert did.
If the blue wave that is forming holds, Democrat Trisha Calvarese will defeat Lauren Boebert in November.
Let’s end this disastrous month for our country with some hope and look forward to how we can put an end to this madness. It starts with Democrats flipping Congress and beating Trump’s sycophant accomplices like Lauren Boebert:
