I’m reaching out with a quick update: Our numbers are in, and we are currently falling behind our January fundraising goal.
Suhas isn't one for "sky-is-falling" emails. As a dad who is raising his family here in Virginia, he’s focused on the work that actually matters to our neighbors: lowering costs, fighting for higher teacher pay, and protecting our federal workforce from political attacks.
But here is the reality: Because Suhas has been so outspoken on the Oversight Committee, demanding transparency and holding the powerful accountable, Republicans have already upped their efforts to take back this district and silence his voice.
Just recently in Loudoun County, we proved that community-level investment pays off when we flipped the last remaining Republican seat in the county. But the powerful interests Suhas is challenging in Washington have deep pockets, and they are counting on us to fall short of this goal.
Suhas Subramanyam has dedicated his life to public service as a State Senator and Delegate, an Obama White House advisor, Capitol Hill staffer, volunteer firefighter/EMT, and now as a member of Congress. In Richmond, he worked across the aisle to support Virginians and protect Democracy, and he is dedicated to delivering the same results from Capitol Hill. Suhas resides in Ashburn, Virginia (in VA-10) with his wife, Miranda, and their two daughters.
