Hey John, it's Paul, Sunrise's Deputy Campaigns Director.
Wow. This week, over 2,000 of us came together on our mass call to hear how we will organize and what’s at stake in the months ahead.
People are fired up. And for good reason.
We heard from Kat Abughazaleh, candidate for Congress in IL-9, Maya Handa, campaign manager for Zohran Mamdani, Rep. Ro Khanna, and frontline organizers who have been standing up to ICE in their communities.
Then, we made over 20,000 calls for Kat, reaching voters across the district. And this is only the beginning.
Throughout the call, the message was clear: this moment demands more than business-as-usual politics. Authoritarianism is consolidating power. Billionaires are rigging the system in their favor. And too often, both political parties are protecting an establishment that refuses to stand up for working people.
That’s why this year we’re running our largest primary electoral program ever.
On the call, Kat and Maya explained why these upcoming primaries are such a critical opportunity. These races are where we can replace career politicians with candidates who fight for us — not fold under pressure from Trump and his allies.
Our first primaries are just one month away. Between now and Election Day, we need to reach voters at scale: knocking doors, making calls, and turning momentum into turnout.
Can you chip in $10, $25, or whatever you can right now to help us win these primaries and elect leaders with a backbone?
Every dollar goes directly toward voter contact and turnout in the races that matter most.
We’re not going to let Trump and billionaires decide our future. We’re going to beat them at the ballot box.
In Solidarity,
Paul
