DELIVERING MAJOR WINS FOR IOWANS THIS 2026 TAX SEASON!

Tax season is here, Iowa!

Last year, I worked with President Trump to pass the Working Families Tax Cut, delivering the largest tax cut for working families.

Families can expect to see no taxes on tips or overtime, seniors receiving a $6,000 deduction, and the average refund for families to increase by $1,000 - these are major wins for Iowans! I will keep working with President Trump to make America affordable again.

ANNIVERSARY OF SARAH'S LAW BEING SIGNED INTO LAW

One year ago today, President Trump signed Sarah’s Law, legislation I introduced with Senator Joni Ernst into law.

Sarah’s Law honors 21-year-old Iowan Sarah Root, whose life was tragically taken by a drunk-driving illegal immigrant.

This law ensures that illegal immigrants who harm or kill Americans are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, not released on bail without facing justice.

REMEMBERING THE HOLOCAUST AND HONORING OUR COMMITMENT

On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we solemnly remember the six million Jewish lives lost and our commitment to never allow such horror to happen again.

We must stand firm against the rise of antisemitism and uphold the promise of Never Again.

BIG WIN FOR U.S. FARM TRANSPARENCY

Another victory for Iowa farmers!

Since being elected to Congress, I’ve been committed to ensuring farmland stays in the hands of the next generation — not foreign entities.

That’s why I worked with Senator Joni Ernst on our FARMLAND Act to strengthen reporting of foreign purchases and ensure transparency.

The USDA has launched a NEW online portal to simplify reporting of U.S. agricultural land transactions involving foreign individuals, businesses, and governments under the Agricultural Foreign Investment Disclosure Act.

The Trump Administration is taking bold action to secure and protect American farmland. In July 2025, USDA launched the National Farm Security Action Plan and has taken steps to strengthen enforcement of the Agriculture Foreign Investment Disclosure Act (AFIDA).

MY WEEKLY COLUMN: 2026 TAX SEASON DELIVERS REAL RELIEF FOR IOWANS

As tax season begins, families across Iowa are taking a closer look at their paychecks, refunds, and household budgets.

After years of historic inflation and economic uncertainty, many families have tasked our government with correcting the economic failures of the previous four years.

That’s why I am proud to have worked alongside President Trump to deliver meaningful tax relief for working families, seniors, farmers, workers, and small businesses.
