Our opponents: We learned earlier this month that the second-in-command of ICE is running against Marcy. She joins a GOP field that also includes Mike Johnson's handpicked candidate, who came within a fraction of a percentage point of winning in 2024.
The stakes: It's not an exaggeration to say that this race is one of the top MAGA targets in the nation. It's one of just four blue seats that have been rated a "TOSS-UP" in 2026. Defending this seat is key to retaking the House.
The district: MAGA has had a target on Marcy's back for years, but they've never been able to challenge her record of delivering for Ohio families. So this year, they've redrawn the district to rig the game in their favor.
What comes next: With our race becoming one of the most closely watched in the nation, we know dark money attacks are coming our way.
