john, We wish this were the worst of it. But Trump continued his anti-democracy plays by directing his attorney general to demand access to Minnesota voter rolls—treating Americans' voting information like a bargaining chip. And to top it all off, at the World Economic Forum in Davos, he openly talked about prosecuting people for the results of the 2020 election–results he still claims are rigged. These aren't slips of the tongue; they're a pattern. Trump is saying the quiet part out loud: he doesn't want the American people to be able to hold him accountable. Trump wants power, john. He wants a government centered around himself. And too many Republicans in Congress—and even the Supreme Court—are willing to help him get there. From rigging congressional maps in their favor, attacking vote-by-mail, and even going so far as to stand with Trump and his claims to run for a third presidential term, Republicans will stop at nothing to ensure they win another two years of power and cling to their razor-thin House majority. We have to put an end to it NOW. We'll say it again: anyone who has to rig races in their favor to win shouldn't be in office in the first place. And anyone who cares more about holding power than helping the American people doesn't deserve to set foot back in Congress. That's why we don't just need to hold Republicans accountable for their actions–we have to remove them from office for good. We have to keep the pressure on and show Trump we won't let his power grab continue. Chip in right away to stand with Kim and Democrats and help us reach our end-of-month goal.
