Hey friend — it’s Katy.

I want to talk for a minute about what this moment looks like from the organizing side of things, because voter protection isn’t abstract to us. It’s real people. Real confusion. Real consequences.

When our Secretary of State fails to provide accurate voting information to every single voter, it's the organizers who get the panicked texts:

“Am I registered?”

“Why did my polling place disappear?”

“Why does the website have my information all wrong?”

Right now, we’re anticipating more of those messages than ever. Thanks to a failing Secretary of State website and some sneaky machinations from the GOP.

With select Texas counties switching back to precinct-only voting, precinct lines being redrawn, and state systems failing, word of mouth is more crucial for voter info than ever. And guess who does word of mouth better than anyone? Organizers!

Our organizers, volunteers, and trusted messengers are stepping in where the state won’t. But organizing at that scale takes resources. Want to chip in right now to help us make sure voters get the info they need? (Seriously, I’d appreciate it so much!!! Even a contribution of $12 or $25 right now would go such a long way to helping.) [[link removed]]

Our Voter Protection Fund — what we’re raising to fund right now — helps us: * Do everything we can to provide whatever information the Secretary of State isn’t getting out to every voter
*
* Train volunteers to share correct voting info
*
* Get accurate resources into voters’ hands fast
*
* Support organizes working county by county to fight misinformation & suppression

This is how we protect voters.
If you can, please chip in today to help us raise $20,000 more by the end of the month so we can keep showing up for Texas voters. [[link removed]]

Grateful to be in this fight with you,

Katy
We are the Texas Dems. We're protecting Texans from Republican extremists and their unending stream of misinformation statewide. Let's be clear, Texas Republicans have drawn district lines to choose the voters they want, and D.C. Republicans have poured tens of millions of dollars in dark money into Texas. We are on the front lines of pushing back against their influence with voters.
Taking Texas back from extremist Republicans is going to take all of us. Will you chip in now to help us elect Democrats who will work hard to represent all Texans, and not just the wealthy few? [[link removed]]
