The video evidence is clear, and it is horrifying.
Alex Pretti, an ICU nurse and a U.S. citizen, was beaten and shot multiple times by federal agents while his hands were raised.
This wasn’t an isolated incident. Just weeks ago, Renee Good, a mother of three, was killed in the same city. What is happening in Minnesota – and all across the country – is inexcusable.
Since taking office, Secretary Noem has presided over a culture of secrecy and violence. She has defended the use of masks by ICE agents to hide their identities, dismissed peaceful protesters as “domestic terrorists,” and stood by as her department spread blatant lies.
I’ve been on the ground conducting oversight at detention facilities. I’ve seen the lack of transparency firsthand.
That is why I introduced the WATCH ICE Act and signed on to the Stop Excessive Force in Immigration Act . We must require body cameras, ban the use of masks, and force these agencies into the light.
But we cannot fix a broken system while those at the very top are actively fueling the fire. Join me in calling for Kristi Noem’s immediate resignation, and if she will not step down, support her impeachment. [[link removed]]
