I invite you to convene at the Carolina Liberty Conference ([link removed]) , where the great questions of republican government and the preservation of our freedoms shall be examined with candor and vigor. There, I shall engage my esteemed friend—and formidable opponent—Mr. John Adams in open debate, that reason may be sharpened by honest disagreement.
