John — it’s Ami.

Right now, families across Sacramento County are feeling the strain of rising health care costs and growing uncertainty about keeping their coverage.

It doesn’t have to be this way. These rising costs are the direct result of President Trump and Congressional Republicans allowing enhanced Affordable Care Act subsidies to expire.

I’ve been fighting back. In December, I signed a discharge petition to force a vote on extending these subsidies for three years. Earlier this month, despite opposition from Speaker Mike Johnson, we successfully forced that vote and passed the bill out of the House.

Now Senate Republicans are standing in the way, refusing to deliver the relief families urgently need. That’s unacceptable, and it’s why we have to keep the pressure on. [[link removed]]

I’m fighting to protect affordable health care for working families, seniors, and people with pre-existing conditions. This isn’t about politics. This is about your health, your peace of mind, and your family’s future.

Before our end-of-month deadline, I need your help. Can you chip in today to help keep Sacramento’s voice strong in the fight for affordable, quality health care? [[link removed]]
