Yes, this is a fundraising email. But please hear me out:

Our January fundraising deadline is just one day away. National Republicans are ramping up their attacks all across the country. And we need more help from our grassroots team to hit our benchmark. If that’s all you need to hear, and you’d like to make a donation (THANK YOU!) here’s a link to do so → [[link removed]]

But listen, if you’re burned out from candidates constantly asking for your support, or you just need to know a little more before you’re ready to personally invest in our team, I get that. Really, I do. (Representatives are not immune from receiving, or getting exasperated by political emails either!)

The fact is, I’m incredibly proud of the movement we’ve built — an entire team focused on what matters most: Real progress, real results, and real action. Not the National GOP’s distractions.

And that’s exactly what I’ve done in Congress for seven years now.

These days, many of my colleagues are spending their time trying to come up with the most outrageous tweet imaginable. Myself? I don’t care about going viral or hitting the cable news circuit.

I’m focused on Kansas — and that’s how I’ve passed meaningful legislation again and again to create new jobs and new opportunities for families across our state.

And honestly, I’m proud of everything I’ve overcome to get where I am.

Most people didn’t look at me — an LGBTQ+ Native American woman who was raised by a single mom — and think “Future Congresswoman.”

Back in 2018, when I announced I was running against a Republican incumbent here in Kansas, a lot of pundits thought I didn’t stand a chance.

But we fought hard. We pushed back against the attacks and set the record straight. And we won that race. Now, I know we can do the same thing this year — as long as we put in the work.

Tomorrow’s deadline is a big test for us. It’s a test of whether our grassroots team has the power to go up against the dark-money groups determined to beat us. And it’s a test of whether our campaign will have the resources to fight off attacks — and stop the far-right from replacing me with a rubber stamp for the National GOP’s agenda.

So that’s why I had to send you this email, and that’s why I’m asking you to join me in this fight. If you’re with me, I hope you can help me out with a donation before tomorrow night’s big deadline → [[link removed]]
