Don Lemon arrested by federal authorities after covering protest at Minnesota church service
In an absolutely stunning assault on the constitutionally protected freedom of press, Trump goons just arrested former CNN anchor Don Lemon for daring to cover a protest at a Minnesota church service earlier this month. Seriously. Attorney General Pam Bondi said Lemon was arrested alongside three others — Trahern Jeen Crews, Georgia Fort, and Jamael Lydell — for what she laughably described as a "coordinated attack on Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota."

Lemon was covering the protest as an embedded independent journalist. Cities Church was targeted by the peaceful protesters specifically because its lead pastor, David Easterwood, also happens to serve as an acting field office director for ICE.

"Instead of investigating the federal agents who killed two peaceful Minnesota protesters, the Trump Justice Department is devoting its time, attention, and resources to this arrest, and that is the real indictment of wrongdoing in this case," Lemon's attorney, Abbe Lowell said. "This unprecedented attack on the First Amendment and transparent attempt to distract attention from the many crises facing this administration will not stand. Don will fight these charges vigorously and thoroughly in court." Just more authoritarian thuggery from America's fascist-in-chief!
