Podcast host Rachael Eubanks was appointed as Michigan's 47th State Treasurer by Governor Gretchen Whitmer in January of 2019. Treasurer Eubanks is committed to building Treasury's culture of service to Michiganders through continuous improvement and employee engagement, which are the foundation of Treasury's mission to provide fair and efficient financial services to all taxpayers for the long-term fiscal health and stability of our state. 



*Sarah Rusnell - Treasury Outreach Manager*

Sarah Rusnell has been with the Michigan Department of Treasury since 2013. She has a Bachelor of Communication Arts and Sciences degree from Michigan State University. She is the manager of Treasury Outreach within the Office of Communications, concentrating on providing stakeholders with education-focused resources. In her time with Treasury, Sarah has worked extensively with many Michigan tax types- affording her the ability to bring Treasury’s functional areas together and bridge gaps through strategic, proactive communications and effective deliverables.    

Outside of work, Sarah is an avid equestrian and hobby horologist (specifically, repairing grandfather clocks). She enjoys mood reading multiple stories concurrently, seeking out the best coffee spot anywhere she goes, and nerding out about space operas (don’t ask her to choose a favorite, but its Star Trek).
