Tom Homan (basically just a normal-sized, more corrupt Bovino) has said that he is looking to “draw down,” and that some of his troops have been “in theater” for months.
His word choice is telling, of course, because Minneapolis isn’t Fallujah. It’s not the “theater of war.” It’s … Minneapolis, a vibrant American city. But this isn’t how the regime views American cities, especially ones that didn’t vote for their side. While ICE is breaking down people’s doors with guns drawn, ramming cars in the streets, pepper spraying bystanders for no reason, and literally killing Americans, the administration is saying that if they didn’t want to be killed, they shouldn’t protest being killed.
