Hi, Did you see this recent report? I’ve never seen a Republican Presidential candidate target Minnesota like this before, especially not this early. The Trump campaign now has as many as 14 full-time staffers on the ground here actively recruiting volunteers across the state. The more they do (and the more money they spend), the more the right-wing GOP candidates down-ballot benefit. This is a big problem for us. Next year is our only guaranteed shot at taking back the Minnesota Senate from the Republicans who are blocking common-sense gun reform, emergency insulin for all, paid family leave, and more. Governor Walz would never sit on the sidelines at a time like this. And that’s why we’re laying early groundwork of our own -- we just need to maintain our budget targets to see our plans through. We built one of the most successful campaigns in the history of our state in 2018. Our shared vision for One Minnesota is incredibly powerful. If we’re able to build on our progress and continue connecting with people, there’s no way Trump’s chaotic, hateful, divisive message prevails next year. We’re well on our way, but we need to keep our budget on track to fund our efforts to reach out to voters, organize and hold regular community meetings across the state, and help down ballot DFL candidates.
