It's the National Vote by Mail Day of Action. So we're dedicating today to getting as many pro-environment voters as possible to sign up for mail-in ballots — so they can vote safely from home and make their voices heard on Election Day 2020.
It's simple: The more pro-climate voters we turn out to the polls, the better our chances of defeating Donald Trump and his allies — and ushering in a new pro-environment president and elected officials across the country.

- Sign up to vote by mail. Most states let you request a mail-in or absentee ballot online, and we make signing up fast and easy.

In the COVID-19 era, voting by mail is the safest way to make your vote count. And with more voters than ever requesting mail-in ballots, signing up as early as possible helps ensure your ballot will arrive on time. Asking for your ballot now also helps prevent your local elections office from being overwhelmed with requests for mail-in ballots closer to Election Day.
Just how safe is voting by mail? The U.S. military has been doing it since the Civil War, and Trump himself has voted by mail in every election since taking office.
