John,

I went to Minneapolis this week and stood with volunteers at the vigils, outside of the Whipple Federal Building used by ICE for detainment and processing, and at mutual aid hubs across the city to support them in the fight against tyranny. I went there to learn from them because one thing we can all count on is that Donald Trump, Kristi Noem, and all of ICE will not stop here. Their targeted attacks will continue, and that is why we must all learn the best ways to fight back.

Build community and work together. ICE may have resources and this administration behind them, but they are cowards who wrongfully expect Americans to roll over when they sweep through our communities. The people of Minneapolis have proven that ICE is no match for community power. Work together to track action from their facilities, alert your neighbors, share intelligence, and offer necessary resources to those who could be targeted.

Know your rights and remember what it means to be an American. This country was founded by fighting a King here in Massachusetts hundreds of years ago. Our Constitutional rights give us the power to come together to fight back against tyranny, and that's what we must do today. Stand for your country and remember that I, and so many others, are ready to stand with you.

Demand elected officials hold this administration accountable. We swore an oath, and we need to do our jobs. I’ll continue to push for abolishing ICE, prosecuting those who violate our rights, impeaching Kristi Noem, and putting forward a humane immigration policy that reflects American values.
