Hey y’all — Kendall here. This is one of those moments where I’m not going to sugarcoat what’s happening.
The Texas Secretary of State is failing to do one of the most basic parts of their job: making sure voters know where, when, and how to vote.
And when that happens, voters pay the price.
Since last summer, the Texas SOS’s election systems have slowed to a crawl — or stopped working altogether. Critical voter data has been delayed for months. Polling location information has been posted late, inconsistently, or not at all. More than one million Texas voters are even missing their precinct assignments.
That’s not a glitch, that’s a voting suppression crisis.
Are you pissed off? You’re in good company, so please join us! We’re raising an additional $20,000 by the end of the month for our 2026 Voter Protection Fund to help us help voters get the information they need to cast their ballots in the March primary. Donate now >>
While a majority of Texas voters do still have the correct voting information, it’s becoming increasingly clear that the SOS is either unwilling or unable to provide accurate, timely voting information to every single voter. And with multiple counties (Dallas + Williamson!) switching back to precinct-only voting, redrawn precinct lines, and runoff elections/primary voting happening soon, it’s hard not to wonder if confusing Texans is exactly what Republicans are banking on this cycle.
So let me be crystal clear: If they don’t do their dang job, we will! We have plans in place to do all we can to make sure ALL Texans can vote with confidence, but we need your support right now. Texas is a big state with lots of voters; it is going to take time, energy, and resources to get this all done.
This week, we launched our 2026 Voter Protection Fund, with a goal of raising $20,000 more before the end of the month to support these actions below. Your contribution will help us:
We are already pushing the Secretary of State for answers. We are already working county-by-county to gather accurate data ourselves. But none of it happens without resources — and time is not on our side.
I hate that this has to fall on us. But I refuse to let voter confusion (suppression) decide the election in Texas.
Donate right now, before the end of the month, to help us with the resources we need to support voters >>
Thanks for being here to help us build voter confidence. We WILL get this done, especially with these extra resources.
Onward,
Kendall
P.S. Republicans benefit when turnout is low because voters are confused, discouraged, or misinformed. We’re fighting back with facts, organizing, and people power, but we need the resources to do it. Please chip in today and help fund our 2026 Voter Protection work before the month ends.
