Holy crap, this is STILL HAPPENING. Even after all the things he’s done, and all the damage he has wrought, most of the media (with some great exceptions, to be sure) still treat Donald Trump like he’s a delicate crystal goblet, to be handled carefully, with voices at “whisper” setting, lest a strong exhalation shatter him.
Tell the media it’s time to end this crap, and prioritize the truth over politeness.
Trump is a liar. He lies constantly. He even lies about his lies.
And yet most of the media still can’t just come out and say it. They talk in euphemisms and weasel words, about “differences in opinion” or how the “president misspoke” or “did not agree” or “challenged the facts,” or anything else to avoid the inconvenient truth that our president is absolutely full of crap.
They are showing respect and deference to a man who deserves neither. He is a liar, and he needs to be called on that every time, for all to see.
His hardcore base may not care, but there are still a lot of people for whom the truth matters. And they need to know they are not alone when they defend reality.
Tell the Media to just say “Trump is lying” and to stop using weasel words.
