Friend — House Republicans have voted 214-208 to lift a 20-year ban on mining near Minnesota’s Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.

This means that one of the most-visited and pristine protected areas in the country — beloved by kayakers, anglers, and campers — could have toxic sulfide waste going into the wilderness area.
