Trump and McCaul have added over $4 trillion dollars to the national debt, including a $1.8 trillion dollar tax cut for the wealthiest Americans.
Not all debt is bad debt — but this is plain ol’ bad debt. Instead of investing in infrastructure, healthcare, housing, childcare, or cancelling college debt, Trump has done everything he could to put more money into the pockets of the 1%. This has all been at the expense of the working families who live paycheck to paycheck.
According to Yahoo Finance, “This will mark the third time that a major piece of deficit-financed legislation will get Trump’s stamp of approval.”
The biggest tab Trump has racked up was his tax giveaway to rich friends and campaign donors. This is exactly the swamp that Donald Trump said he was going to drain — but of course that hasn’t happened.
I am running for Congress to fight for working families, not to give our public resources to the wealthy elite.
