Colorado must pick up the torch, join the fight, and meet this moment head on John, Everyday the MAGA movement takes us one step closer to the dissolution of our union. ICE agents are being deployed across blue states where they are killing Americans with impunity while migrants are being tortured, deprived of food and water, and disappeared. All to punish these states for not falling in line with the administration’s agenda. On the Congressional front, Trump is moving to neuter the power of populous blue states by gerrymandering enough red states to dilute their power and all but ensure one party MAGA rule. If the far-right continues on with these worsening attacks on Democratic states it will eventually trigger a constitutional crisis over states rights unparalleled since the 1860s. Our nation will disintegrate and descend into chaos and civil war.     We have a rapidly closing window to stop this. Much like the proverbial Chinese finger trap, the only way out is in. We only break MAGA’s gerrymandering blitz by pushing forward with redistrictings of our own. Democratic redistricting restores equilibrium and balance within our system and shows Trump and MAGA that there are consequences if they do not back off from their dangerous path. Because of the ballot initiative that Colorado Draws the Line is pushing, Coloradans will have an opportunity to vote on new maps that erase 3-4 of Colorado’s red congressional districts (including Boebert’s district CO-04) and turn them deep blue. However, this is by no means a sure thing. We aren’t on their radar yet but once we start making waves expect MAGA to exert maximum pressure on Colorado to ensure this redistricting does not pass. Expect it to get bad. We need to brace for impact and raise as much as we can now before MAGA realizes what we’re doing and unleashes everything they’ve got to stop us.
