I wanted to make sure you didn’t miss a key campaign update from earlier this month.

Michael Whatley, the far-right lobbyist President Trump handpicked to run against me, is gaining ground in the polls.

Meanwhile, we recently learned that PACs aligned with Trump and the far-right have raised truly massive amounts to spend for the GOP ahead of the midterm elections. Since our race is the key to the U.S. Senate majority, we expect them to direct a lot of it our way.

With this in mind, I have to make a humble request for your support now. We have a $500,000 online fundraising goal to meet this month, and we’re not quite where we need to be.

John, I really am grateful every time someone chooses to invest in our work — I know it’s not always easy to decide where to give. There are different campaigns competing for your attention and real-life priorities that determine whether folks are in a position to give.
