Trump and his Republicans retook office a year ago and immediately began undoing gun safety measures at the behest of their wealthy gun lobby donors.

They made it legal to send guns in the mail. They rearmed violent, convicted criminals. They weakened background checks and other regulations.

And Trump and his MAGA Republicans in Congress still REFUSE to listen to Americans and reinstate the Federal Assault Weapons Ban to protect our communities from endless mass shootings.

Without a national ban on these weapons of war, it’s next to impossible to stop shooters from using them to carry out violence at any place, any time. It’s despicable.

So we’re launching an emergency petition to prove OVERWHELMINGLY supports banning assault weapons. We need 3,000 signatures before our FIRST End of Month Deadline of this crucial midterm year in 48 hours to let these Republicans know that we won’t stand for their inaction any longer – not after all the destruction they’ve already done in the meantime. Here’s the deal:

We protested. We called in. We rallied.

We drove across the country to the sites of mass shootings in 2024.

We sat outside the Capitol for 7 days and 7 nights in 2023.

We helped host a YEARLY vigil for survivors of gun violence and the loved ones of the innocents lost to these senseless tragedies – attended by hundreds, including Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.

But Republicans refused to listen to us.

They turned off their office phones.

They walked away from the survivors of mass shootings.

They refused to hear the stories of those we’ve lost to the tragedies they have the power to prevent.

And over 400 mass shootings RAVAGED our communities in their first year back in total power.

Last year, voters across the country sent Trump and gun-lobby-backed Republicans everywhere a resounding rebuke of their anti-gun-safety agenda by electing gun safety Democrats in Virginia and New Jersey, passing gun safety legislation in Maine, and more.

We’re determined to BUILD on these wins in 2026, elect strong gun safety Democrats EVERYWHERE, and finally pass a national ban on assault weapons.
