We are happy to report that your calls had a real impact, and the Senate passed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) without Senator Kirsten Gillibrand’s (D-N.Y.) “woke” amendment on Thursday.
The amendment was steeped in LGBTQ politics and presented an increased risk of security to both those suffering from gender dysphoria and fellow service members. Thank you to all who called—this is a real policy win for conservatives!
Remember: Celebrate the win but, this is far from over. Vigilance! Keep our lawmakers accountable.

Members of the military, uniformed and civilian, are strictly prohibited from engaging in overt political activities. Those rules exist to keep them focused on their mission—defending the nation. But apparently, someone in the U.S. Army’s Equity and Inclusion Agency has forgotten the rules. With a course titled “Operation Inclusion,” the agency is promoting the line that if you support enforcing immigration law, or say things like “all lives matter,” then you’re a white supremacist. “There is no doubt the Army’s Office of Inclusion and Equity can find ways to teach military personnel about the positive values of inclusion and equity in a nonpartisan way. Instead, it has taken a different, highly toxic approach that if anything feeds racial stereotyping,” write Heritage senior legal fellows Hans von Spakovsky and Cully Stimson. At least since 2004, an extremely shallow and distorted anti-Southern version of the American Civil War has been taught at West Point. The Obama Administration expanded its impact. We are now seeing some of the fruits of it, when U.S. Army generals publicly condemn Confederates and even Robert E. Lee as traitors. This type of political correctness is not unifying; it is extremely divisive as its Marxist instigators surely mean it to be. This is playing a role in Marxist inspired and led civil disorders and anti-Southern propaganda that is filling up our media like the Biblical plaque of the frogs of Egypt.
The second was published in January 2014. The first article includes a brief description of the effect of tariffs on the South's desire to secede, but there is much more to it of enormous importance in understanding the Civil War. The history of these tariffs and especially the Morrill Tariff of March 1860 has been suppressed, because it strongly contradicts the PC narrative.

ATP and FreedomWorks activists invested much time, effort, energy and capitol last spring and summer to make sure the US House and Senate did not approve of socialized medicine.
The only good news is that there will be a delay in the implementation of this order for one month. ATP will be sending out Action Alerts to our activists shortly on this to hopefully sway the Trump administration to reconsider.
