Hi There,
Kristi Noem must resign.
The terrible events in Minneapolis occurred because Secretary Noem has
created a culture within ICE for agents to act violently and with
impunity. She’s repeatedly insulted migrants and called them names. She
labeled the two victims killed by ICE in Minneapolis “domestic terrorists”
without any evidence.
It’s clear that she cares more about boasting the highest deportation
numbers rather than keeping people safe.
Secretary Noem has turned targeted immigration enforcement into a campaign
of violence and intimidation.
She also oversees FEMA. At a time when climate disasters are increasing,
she’s worked with the Trump Administration to fire FEMA workers rather
than to improve the agency so communities get the help they need when they
need it.
She’s even stated that the Administration will get rid of FEMA entirely.
Secretary of Homeland Security is an important job that impacts the lives
of millions of people.
Secretary Noem has failed in the core responsibilities of that job.
She should resign or be fired.
Thanks,
Peter
