John, I think we’re finally turning a corner – thanks to YOU.
In just 48 hours since Common Cause called for Kristi Noem’s removal – for telling inflammatory lies, abusing our neighbors, and making us all less safe – 63,755 Common Cause members like you have joined the call.
And we’re not the only ones; Democratic lawmakers and a few brave Republicans are calling for an investigation.
There are a few ways this could go – maybe Noem will double down on her lies and try to hold onto her job at all costs. Or maybe the administration will cut her loose and hope we’ll all go back to brunch while masked, armed men are still tearing families apart.
But either way, John, I’m glad you know the truth: Kristi Noem, alongside Greg Bovino, Corey Lewandowski, and even Stephen Miller, are just the representatives of a much deeper challenge we face.
We’re up against a government that views its own people not as human beings they’re meant to serve, but as a threat to be controlled.
Make no mistake, if you and I don’t tell Congress to do its job and stop this here and now – ICE and DHS will keep violating our rights and keep tearing our communities apart. None of us are safe unless all of us are safe.
Here’s how I know our fights are all connected: one of Attorney General Pam Bondi’s coercive demands to Minnesota leaders in exchange for calling off Trump’s secret police includes handing over millions of private voter records.
That’s a demand she’s made to multiple states – and in response, Common Cause has sued in 14 of them plus D.C. to stop this illegal data grab.
And it all comes down to the 2026 midterms – which this administration is hoping to rig with anti-voter legislation, gerrymandered maps, and targeted voter purges in order to ensure they never have to give up control.
Our neighbors kidnapped, our civil rights trampled, and they are trying to suppress our right to vote by attacking mail-in ballots. That’s the country the people whispering in Trump’s ear want. And they’ll do absolutely anything to get it.
So right now, we’re all in on our demand to Fire Kristi Noem. But we know that this goes beyond one person: it’s a coordinated attack on our values, our communities, and our rights. And we refuse to back down.
Common Cause remains your voice in Washington, D.C. and across the country to stand firm against ICE and anyone who attempts to intimidate or attack civilians to get their way.
In the coming days, we plan to mobilize to halt this terror campaign and hold everyone who participates in it accountable. If you’re able, please consider contributing to our campaign today >>
