VIDEO OF THE DAY: FBI pulls bombshell stunt on behalf of Trump
America's wannabe dictator just cannot stop obsessing over his embarrassing 2020 election defeat at the hands of Joe Biden. Yesterday, Director Kash Patel sicced FBI agents on the election office in Fulton County, Georgia, to collect all ballots, tabulator tapes, ballot images, and voter rolls in his boss' desperate, never-ending quest to rewrite history and explain away his crushing loss. You will not be surprised to learn that legal errors in the initial warrant were challenged on the scene by county officials, forcing the FBI to pause their raid and obtain a corrected warrant. These MAGA dolts can't even fraud well.
Anyway, Brian Tyler Cohen spoke with Georgia Sen. Jon Ossoff about Trump's unprecedented weaponization of the federal government, his unquenchable thirst for personal vengeance, and his utter contempt for — as Ossoff eloquently put it — "the core guarantees at the founding of our republic that animated the American revolution."

Fox’s Brit Hume says Trump's immigration crackdown has "hit its political limits," cites brutal poll
The notoriously dour Brit Hume somehow managed to channel even more gloom as he shared a brutal new poll with his audience, highlighting just how deeply unpopular Donald Trump's immigrant purge is with the American electorate. The right-wing propaganda network published its own poll yesterday, showing nearly 60% of registered voters disapproving of ICE's "heavy-handed" tactics. Hume flatly admitted that the MAGA cult leader's anti-immigrant crusade had "hit its political limits," news that will almost certainly fall on deaf ears in an Oval Office overrun with white nationalists and xenophobic hatemongers.

Virginia voters can stop Trump’s election rigging — and level the playing field
Virginians For Fair Elections Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans are trying to rig the 2026 midterms by pressuring red states to redraw congressional maps behind closed doors — cutting voters out of the process and stacking the deck before a single ballot is cast. Virginia has a chance to do something different. A proposed, temporary constitutional amendment would give voters — not politicians — the final say. Under the amendment, proposed congressional maps would be made public, and Virginians would be able to review them and vote on them before any maps take effect. Now, Virginians for Fair Elections is launching a statewide effort to make sure voters know what’s at stake — and to ensure Virginia leads by protecting fair representation instead of following Trump’s rigged playbook. Will you chip in today to help level the playing field and defend our democracy?
ICE officers in Minnesota directed not to interact with "agitators" in new orders
ICE goons in Minnesota were reportedly directed on Wednesday to avoid engaging with "agitators" as they carry out Donald Trump’s inhumane immigration crackdown, according to internal guidance reviewed by Reuters. Great. Now please leave.

Democrats poised to trigger government shutdown if White House won't meet demands for ICE reform
Senate Democrats are threatening to block legislation that would fund the Department of Homeland Security and several other agencies Thursday, potentially triggering another government shutdown if Republicans and the White House do not agree to "new" restrictions on Donald Trump’s ongoing immigrant purge. There were some signs of possible progress late Wednesday as the White House has appeared open to trying to strike a deal with Democrats to avert a shutdown, and the two sides were discussing a possible agreement to separate Homeland Security funding from the rest of the legislation and fund it for a short time.
Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer said Democrats won’t provide needed votes until ICE is "reined in and overhauled," but it's worth remembering he also vowed to hold the line until expiring healthcare subsidies for millions of Americans were renewed before agreeing to reopen the government during the last shutdown, and we all know how that panned out.

Trump blurts out "you can't have guns" at protests — after days of backlash from 2nd Amendment advocates
Oh, really? This news will surely come as a surprise to the TENS OF THOUSANDS of MAGA militia boyz who've popped up at hundreds of protests over the last decade armed to the fucking hilt with boom sticks, waving Gadsden flags, and screaming about a new American revolution.
5-year-old kidnapped by ICE now vomiting and feverish in ICE detention
Liam Conejo Ramos, the preschooler in the blue hat and backpack who was snatched by ICE agents and used to entrap his father in a shocking display of cruelty that shook the nation, is suffering under the notoriously poor conditions at ICE’s Dilley, Texas, concentration camp. "Unfortunately, Liam’s health is not doing great right now," said Zena Stenvik, the superintendent for Ramos’ Columbia Heights public school district. "He’s been ill. I've been told he has a fever. So I’m very, very concerned about his well-being in that facility." Ramos' mother is also "incredibly distraught," she said. Ramos’ mother said that "Liam is getting sick because the food they receive is not of good quality. He has stomach pain, he’s vomiting, he has a fever and he no longer wants to eat."
It is no wonder that the boy is sick from the disgusting slop that the monsters at the CoreCivic private prison company feed their detainees, with attorney Eric Lee calling it "absolutely abysmal." "They mix baby formula with water that is putrid. The food has bugs in it. The guards are often verbally abusive," Lee told Minnesota Public Radio. Our tax dollars are paying to make this poor little boy suffer for no reason. Someone please make it stop.
Ilhan Omar blames town hall attack on Trump's "hateful rhetoric": "My death threats skyrocket"
Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar placed the blame for Tuesday's town hall attack squarely on Donald Trump, telling reporters that "every time the president of the United States has chosen to use hateful rhetoric to talk about me and the community that I represent, my death threats skyrocket."
The four-term congresswoman brought receipts: "I became a freshman [representative] who nobody should have actually known I existed because I wielded no power to having the most death threats of any member of Congress. To the point where I had to have six Capitol Police officers providing 24-hour detail to me and my family. And then [Joe] Biden got elected, and for four years [the death threats] almost plummeted. Then [Trump] came back into office, and he resumed his vitriol. And now my death threats are the highest of the members of Congress." Any questions?

GOP official busted for fake snow-shoveling post
Republican Indiana Attorney General Diego Morales tried to sell a pathetic "no days off" work-ethic image with a suspicious snow-shoveling photo, but intrepid observers on the internet promptly called bullshit, pointing out the obvious snow blower tracks beneath his feet. Morales, who unsuccessfully fought to disenfranchise his own constituents in Trump's nationwide gerrymandering scheme, tweeted, "Rain, sleet, or snow work still gets done. Same work ethic at home as I bring to the Statehouse. Because I believe in rolling up my sleeves and doing the hard work myself. No days off."
Just a perfect encapsulation of the wholesale fraud and vacuous rot eating the GOP from the inside out. Morales eventually disabled comments on his nüTwitter account, the latest in a long line of Republicans eager to unwittingly showcase his personal struggle with object permanence.
ICE arrested father who cared for his chronically ill son — then denied his request to attend son's funeral
While the scale of Trump's grotesque and inhumane campaign to "cleanse" America of millions of non-white immigrants is indeed grand, we cannot overlook the individual accounts of human suffering. Maher Tarabishi's intolerably painful story is one such example. The cruelty IS the point. Absolutely shameful.
Newly leaked audio shows Erika Kirk celebrating how much money she made off her husband's memorial
The right wing exploiting tragedy for personal profit is a tale as old as time. But usually it’s *other* people’s tragedy. Not so for Erika Kirk, the widow of slain racist propagandist Charlie Kirk, who was heard on leaked audio celebrating the success of her husband’s memorial…and how much money she made off of it. "Wow, I don't even know where to begin. The fact that we were able to pull off an event of the century is just insane. We had 275,000 people that attended and a stadium overflow," Erika said, in the leaked audio of a call to her team. "I think we're at like $200,000 for merch sales. Don't quote me on that, 'cause I think it just keeps like bumping up like crazy!"
Erika Kirk had already turned herself into a meme with the grotesque spectacle she put on at Charlie's memorial, which featured a LOT more pyrotechnics and tight leather pants than one usually would expect at a wake. Everything's a grift for these people.
Doom and doomer
