John,

Why are we cutting down trees that can take decades to grow for toilet paper that we use once and then flush away forever?

The boreal is the world's largest remaining intact forest -- the Earth's green crown, stretching across North America from Newfoundland to Alaska. But we're losing it fast. An area of boreal forest bigger than a football field is chopped down every minute.[1]

Georgia-Pacific, the maker of paper product brands like Angel Soft and Quilted Northern, can help protect the boreal forest by using sustainable materials.

Tell Georgia-Pacific: Don't source toilet paper from critical habitat in the boreal forest.

The towering trees of the boreal form an ecosystem like nowhere else on earth.

Herds of woodland caribou step gently through the underbrush. Billions of birds nest in the boreal's branches every year before flying to visit our backyards and parks. And the deep forest is a haven for animals that struggle with habitat loss farther south: Wolves, mountain lions, moose and more.[2]

Logging in the unlogged areas of the boreal risks destroying what makes this place so special.

Forests take decades to grow. Once they're chopped down, they won't come back in our lifetimes.

And even if some trees are left standing, logging roads and clear-cut areas divide the once-sprawling forest into isolated pockets. Wildlife can struggle to survive in habitat that has been fragmented this way.

We can't afford to flush the boreal forest away.

We need Georgia-Pacific to protect this special place by committing to forest-free materials for its products. Add your name today.

Recycled paper and bamboo are great alternative materials for paper products that don't threaten the world's largest remaining intact forest. By using sustainable materials, Georgia-Pacific can help protect critical wildlife habitat.

Georgia-Pacific can lead the way to a more sustainable future for the paper products we all buy and use. Customers like us can help show the company that the time for change is now.

Send your message to Georgia-Pacific today: Please commit to not selling wood products from woodland caribou habitat and undisturbed parts of the boreal.
