Team,
Last week, the House narrowly passed an appropriations bill that would renew ICE’s excessive budget, with no strings attached, adding to the over $170 billion in taxpayer funds already allocated for immigration enforcement in July 2025.
The bill increases ICE’s detention budget from $3.4 billion to $3.8 billion and its enforcement budget from $5.08 billion to $5.45 billion.
Last year, Congress passed a reconciliation bill that gave ICE a $20 billion increase per year until 2029 — this new bill adds billions more. That’s billions of American people’s hard-earned tax dollars being used to pay for these horrendous actions while occupying American cities.
We have one message for Congress: No More Money for Destruction and Death.
UWD community members have sent more than 6,800 letters to the U.S. Senate, insisting that they reject the House bill and stop our tax dollars from funding an agenda of destruction and death. We’re calling on them to vote NO on any additional funding for DHS.
