John, I want to tell you a quick story... I was looking through some old photos last night. And it reminded me how I got here — and why I’m doing this. I grew up in Michigan, the auto capitol of our country. |
Back then, I didn’t know where life would take me. I just knew I loved this country — and I was raised to believe that if America gives you opportunities, you owe her something in return.
That belief came from my family.

My grandfather served his country in uniform.
Like so many men of his generation, he answered the call when America needed him — without hesitation, without complaint.
When he came home, he didn’t stop serving.
He went to work on the GM factory floor, helping build what people used to call the Arsenal of Democracy — the vehicles and equipment that powered American strength and helped keep the world free.
He didn’t talk much about his service.
He lived it — clocking in, working hard, and providing for his family.

My dad dedicated his career to keeping our community safe in law enforcement.
Watching him taught me what real service looks like: showing up every day, standing between danger and innocent people, and never asking for credit.
That example stuck with me.
When I got to Michigan State, I joined ROTC. I didn’t do it for a résumé. I did it because I wanted to serve.
After graduating, I raised my right hand and commissioned as an Infantry Officer in the United States Army.

From there, the Army sent me where I was needed — training at Fort Benning, serving with the 101st Airborne, leading soldiers as a platoon leader and company executive officer, and later serving with the 82nd Airborne as an intelligence officer.
I served overseas. I served at the southern border. And eventually, I joined the Michigan National Guard.
Then I was called to deploy on short notice.

I spent nine months in Iraq on a mission to defeat ISIS.
During that time, I saw what happens when nations aren’t strong enough to defend themselves.
And I saw the freedom that American strength makes possible.
Those experiences clarified something for me.
I’ve spent my adult life protecting this country from enemies abroad.
Now I believe it’s time to serve my community here at home.
That’s why I’m running for Congress.
Just like others on this team, I know you’re reading this because you care about this country - and because you believe America is worth standing up for.
So I have a short and humble request for you today: will you chip in $10, $20, or whatever you can send to help me continue this fight and to stand with me in protecting the American Dream?

I wouldn’t be here without supporters like you. And with your help, I believe our best days are still ahead.
