An important update from Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington

We can’t let up.

The Trump administration’s ethical failures have concerned me since the very start of the Trump presidency. But now President Trump and his administration’s defiance of facts and accountability is costing tens of thousands of American lives.

And not only that, but we’re seeing Attorney General Barr politicize the Justice Department and manipulate it for Trump’s personal benefit and to further his racist agenda.

It’s a scary time, but one thing is encouraging: Americans are outraged.

Here at CREW, we’re outraged too. We’ve taken nearly 800 legal actions since the start of the Trump administration, and we’re not slowing down anytime soon.

In order to help CREW keep pace with President Trump’s attacks on our democracy, a generous donor is matching up to $80,000 in donations during the month of July. We’re in the home stretch, and if you’re able to contribute, please consider making a matched donation now.

We’ve filed complaints about Vice President Mike Pence’s Chief of Staff Marc Short’s likely criminal conflict of interest violations and White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows’ Hatch Act violations. We’re also busy advocating for Congress to act on measures for stronger oversight of the pandemic response, and calling on Congress to impeach Attorney General Barr for his attacks on the integrity of our justice system.

If you’re able, and would like to help CREW continue fighting to protect our democracy, all donations right now will go twice as far. Make a matched donation and help us keep up the fight!

Thank you,

Walter Shaub
