I’m refusing to stay silent, John.

Because what we’re seeing right now in this country is wrong.

In recent days and weeks, Americans have watched in horror as neighbors, coworkers, and families have been ripped apart by aggressive ICE raids and violent enforcement actions. People are being targeted in their own communities. Children are coming home to empty houses. Law-abiding families are living in fear.

And while this is happening, virtually all Republicans in Congress are doing nothing.

Worse than nothing, they are enabling it.

Instead of standing up for basic decency, they have chosen to pour tens of billions of dollars more into ICE, with no meaningful oversight, no accountability, and no concern for the human cost.

That money could have lowered healthcare costs. It could have helped working families. It could have strengthened our communities.

Instead, they chose cruelty.

So I’ll ask them plainly: Why are you in Congress?

I swore an oath to serve CA-49 and defend the Constitution. I take that oath seriously. I believe in equal justice, due process, and human dignity. I believe no one in America should live in fear of their own government. But today, those values are under attack.

And I’m standing up. I’m speaking out. I’m fighting back. And I’m not backing down. Because this moment demands courage. It demands accountability. And it demands leaders who choose care over cruelty.

If you believe in that fight, I need you with me. Now is the time.

We need accountability, and that means taking over House control in November. Your support — whether it’s chipping in $3 or knocking on doors — is crucial to making that change.
