Big Newsom-Proofing winHi John,

I've just published a new blog post:

Newsom-Proofing California [link removed]

California has failed to build major water storage for nearly 50 years. But that is about to change: We’ve won federal approval [link removed] for Sites Reservoir. Construction will start soon, adding 1.5 million acre-feet of capacity. This will help end our state's needless cycle of droughts and rationing.

This follows our High-Speed Rail victory last week, passing legislation to make it ineligible for further funding and claw back existing money. As you can watch in this feature [link removed], the train was supposed to be done by 2020. Yet after 17 years and $17 billion, there's still no track.

These two victories have advanced our mission to Newsom-Proof California even further. Yet the damage Newsom has already inflicted is hard to overstate. New data shows California is projected [link removed] to lose four seats in Congress after the next Census, as Texas and Florida each gain 4.

On top of that, Newsom’s catastrophic policies have infected the rest of the country – for one, sanctuary cities. I appeared on Fox News [link removed], MSNBC, and CNN [link removed] with the same message: this is the time to pass my bill, the No Sanctuary for Criminals Act, to bar sanctuary cities nationwide.

I also presented my bill, the No Tax Dollars for Riots Act, on Fox Business [link removed]. While the FBI is investigating who’s funding lawlessness across the country, in California it's linked to the government itself. President Trump endorsed my bill [link removed], saying it should be “passed immediately.”

And, as I prepare a full audit of fraud in California, an LA man was just arrested [link removed] for a multi-million dollar homelessness funding scheme. This comes after Newsom assured me [link removed] "there is no 'lost' homelessness funding" and that "all the funds are accounted for."

Finally, I've posted a brief update [link removed] about our plans for reelection this year. Thank you so much for all of the thoughtful input. Our movement is more important than ever.
