Giant
corporations are using this pandemic to gain even more power at the
expense of working families.

As unemployment rises, more and more people are losing their
employment-based health insurance that they depend on for themselves and
their families. Meanwhile, insurance companies are raking in billions in
profit.^1

Not only are workers losing their jobs and health care, but in 4 days,
expanded unemployment benefits will expire — leaving 25 million Americans
with an average of 61% less money per week to survive what may be the
worst economic recession in our nation’s history.

Workers deserve better. The relief package being
introduced by Senate Republicans right now would replace the extra $600
weekly federal unemployment benefits with just $200. That’s unacceptable.

That’s why we’re hosting a webinar this Thursday to discuss what steps we
can take to ensure economic and health security for all, both during and
after the pandemic — and we need you there.

Workers’ Lives and Livelihoods in Times of Crisis this Thursday, July
30th, at 5pm PT/8 pm ET?

RSVP here »

Surviving a pandemic without the quality, guaranteed health care that
Medicare for All would provide already puts workers at a huge risk. In
addition, many essential workers like nurses are facing unsafe working
conditions, no sick pay, and no childcare support to name just a few of
the challenges facing working families.

This live webinar will help us chart out a plan for protecting workers’
rights and livelihoods now and in the wake of this crisis. Thursday’s
webinar is the first in our five-part educational webinar series to break
down the challenges caused by the pandemic, the underlying problems that
have helped make these challenges worse, and what we can do to solve these
inequities.

These virtual events are open to both nurses and the general public
because we want every person to join the conversation and have the facts
about the underlying issues of this pandemic. Invite your friends and
family so we can learn and heal from this crisis together!

right now to claim your spot early.

These webinars are a great entry point for new people to our movement and
hopefully a starting point to become more active in the fight for health
care justice.

at 5pm PT/8 pm ET to kick off our webinar series. RSVP Today!
