As Texas' Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate, I stand on the shoulders of giants. My campaign couldn't be where it is today -- neck-and-neck with John Cornyn, an 18-year incumbent of the U.S. Senate -- without courageous Texas Democrats like Barbara Jordan and Ann Richards and so many others who courageously paved the way.

But, most of all, I'm grateful for YOU and all my friends at the Texas Democratic Party. Texas is only a battleground state because you've treated it like one. You've done the incredibly hard work of laying the foundation for candidates like me to win and help flip Texas blue. I just know it: 2020 is our year.

In the face of the global COVID-19 pandemic, the Texas Democratic Party has built a new path to victory, and they're going to run the largest coordinated campaign in our state's history to elect Democrats up and down the ballot.
