Ilhan was attacked at a town hall in Minneapolis last night.
She was hosting a town hall to discuss ICE’s ongoing, violent occupation of Minneapolis. As Ilhan was giving her remarks, a man rushed up to her and squirted her with an unknown substance from a syringe.
Ilhan’s okay. This small agitator isn’t going to intimidate her from doing her work. That’s why she went back to the podium to finish her remarks and take questions from her constituents. We don’t let bullies win.
But this proves something important. For months now, Trump has personally attacked Ilhan and sent his MAGA followers after her. Just minutes before this attack, Trump was at a rally in Iowa, insulting Ilhan and talking about killing Somali people.
This dangerous rhetoric continues to incite very real consequences.

But no one, from the President of the United States to a random attacker, is going to stop Ilhan Omar from speaking out about what is happening in Minnesota and across the country right now.
This administration is tearing the Constitution apart and killing people in the streets. We will not back down as we fight to block funding for DHS and ICE, impeach Kristi Noem, and seek justice for Alex Pretti and Renee Good.
We cannot allow violent intimidation to become the new normal. Stand with us and demand accountability for this attack, and for every federal policy that fuels this climate of violence and hate. ([link removed])
