Earlier this week, I reached out because a dark money affiliate of AIPAC put millions of dollars into a television ad smearing me. And now, we’re seeing the same group spread these attacks in physical media, in the mailboxes of Jersey voters.

This is one of the most despicable lies I’ve seen in my time in politics, and I’ve seen a few. The mailer claims I support ICE’s horrific abuses against immigrants because seven years ago, I voted for a surge in humanitarian and security funding to the border, alongside most Democrats in the country, including Andy Kim, Bonnie Watson Coleman, and Mikie Sherrill. In reality, I have long been a loud champion of immigrants’ rights and have urged Congress to defund ICE’s mass deportation policies.

AIPAC’s real problem with me appears to be that I, like most of my pro-Israel constituents, believe we can passionately support Israel’s right to defend itself without approving everything Benjamin Netanyahu does – just like we can love America without blindly following Trump.

That’s not the only thing fueling these attacks: I have also refused to take corporate PAC money. I am running to stop not just Trump, but the corruption of dark money in our politics. I’ll be effective because I have experience in these fights. That scares them.

The stakes are higher than ever. If these attacks work in the first election of 2026, they will be used against many other Democrats in the midterms. We have to stop this here. With your help, I know we will,
