Grassroots fundraising slowed down this month, more than we expected. And while we don’t want to panic or overdramatize this, we do need to be realistic about what it means.
Abdul is the strongest pro-worker candidate in this race. He’s polling well. He’s building real momentum.
Because of that, powerful interests are paying close attention — including corporate PACs and groups like AIPAC that are preparing to spend big to stop him.
So today, we’re lowering our ask to just $1. Yes, really.
Abdul is the only candidate in this race who’s never taken corporate PAC money, and never will.
That means we rely on everyday people — not powerful groups trying to buy influence. And it means Abdul can speak clearly about healthcare, civil liberties, and the issues that matter most to us, even when it makes powerful interests uncomfortable.
Corporate PACs, Republicans, and establishment Democrats are betting against us. They’re hoping our momentum slows just enough for them to drown us out with attack ads.
We can’t afford to let that happen.
